Are You Looking for Answers in the Wrong Places?
Have you ever found yourself searching for answers everywhere, but still feeling empty, confused, or uncertain?

When we don't understand what is happening in our lives, it's natural to look for answers. We ask friends. We search the internet. We look for signs. We turn to relationships, social media, distractions, and sometimes even people who may not have the answers we're looking for.
Sometimes, we're not really looking for an answer.
We're looking for reassurance.
We're looking for someone to tell us that everything will be okay. We're looking for confirmation that we're making the right decision. We're looking for clarity because waiting on an answer can be uncomfortable.
But what happens when we keep searching in places that were never meant to give us the answers we need?
Maybe you're looking in the wrong place.
There have been moments in my life when I've wanted answers so badly that I tried to find them everywhere except where I needed to look first.
I wanted to understand why something was happening.
Why something wasn't happening.
Why certain people came into my life.
Why some things ended.
Why I had to wait.
And sometimes, instead of getting quiet and bringing those questions to God, I looked for answers through other people, circumstances, and my own understanding.
But the more I searched, the more questions I had.
Have you ever experienced that?
Sometimes we can become so focused on finding an answer that we forget to seek the One who already knows the beginning, the middle, and the end.
It's okay to seek wise counsel.
Let me be clear: asking for advice isn't wrong.
There are people God places in our lives who can encourage us, pray with us, speak wisdom into our situations, and help us see things from a different perspective.
But there's a difference between seeking wise counsel and depending on everyone else's opinions to direct your life.
Sometimes we ask so many people what they think that we can no longer hear what God is saying to us.
We keep asking, "What would you do?"
"Do you think I'm making the right decision?"
"What do you think this means?"
And before we know it, we're carrying ten different opinions and still don't have peace.
Maybe that's because peace isn't always found in getting more answers.
Sometimes peace comes from trusting God even when we don't have one.
Not every answer will come immediately.
This is probably one of the hardest lessons to learn.
We want answers now.
We want to know what's next.
We want to know how everything is going to work out.
But God doesn't always give us the entire picture.
Sometimes He gives us enough light for the next step.
And that's where faith comes in.
Faith isn't knowing exactly how everything will turn out.
Faith is trusting God when you don't.
There may be things you're praying about right now that you don't understand. There may be doors that haven't opened, relationships that didn't work out, opportunities that didn't happen, or situations that seem completely different from what you imagined.
And maybe you're asking, "God, why?"
Maybe the answer hasn't come yet.
But that doesn't mean God isn't working.
What if you stopped searching and started surrendering?
What if instead of constantly looking for signs, confirmations, and answers, you took a moment to get quiet?
Pray.
Talk to God.
Open your heart.
Listen.
And then trust.
You don't have to figure everything out today.
You don't have to know every detail of your future.
You don't have to have all the answers before you take your next step.
Sometimes God is asking you to trust Him with the questions.
Because the truth is, you may not be without an answer. You may simply be looking in the wrong place.
So today, ask yourself:
Where have I been looking for answers?
Who have I been allowing to influence my decisions?
Have I been seeking God's direction, or have I been seeking confirmation for what I already want?
And most importantly:
Have I given God the opportunity to speak before I started searching everywhere else?
You don't have to chase every answer.
You don't have to understand every delay.
You don't have to know what tomorrow holds.
Sometimes you simply have to trust the One who does.
Be still. Pray. Listen. Trust.
Because when you stop looking everywhere else and start seeking God, you may discover that the peace you've been searching for was never in the answer itself.
It was in learning to trust Him.
Keep walking in faith. Keep rising without fear. And trust that God knows exactly where He's leading you.
